Yaaaaaaay!!! Congrats!! I hope everything can be put aside and you all get a new beginning. I wish it were our families. My parents and sister are still yelling at me for inferring that their wrong. My husbands parents skirt the issue to the point of these long awkward silent moments in the conversation where there once were comments on the meetings or service etc.....

My parents are out...
by one_ugly_time ini have finally confirmed that my parents da'd about 2 years ago.
they haven't told me or talked to me about it.
i found out through my aunt, and confirmed it through my oldest brother who was just visiting them.. it's a big step in the right direction.

Oh, Will, ........Run and don't look back. My husband and I were in for our whole lives ( well, we're only 30, and 32 respectively) but we were "born into it". Your priority list would be different for everyone, unless it was to be turned in at the Kingdom Hall. Read the horror stories here about where THEIR priorities lie. Read the sections on experiences. Whether you get involved with them is of course your choice and your ultimate decision but don't make it hastily. The deeper you become indoctrinated, the harder it is to leave. There is an unwritten rulebook of a thousand pages of dos and don'ts. If your wife is new then she's receiving the shower of niceties that will soon end. At this point, you can get her out and get away from it.

Being newly OUT we are fascinated with all of these things that completely undo the woven lies we were taught . We have gone back to the beginning to try to piece together the truth and find out all of these "This Is What Really Happened" stories as opposed to continuing to build on a rotten foundation. It's stuck and i can't get it up
by kls inas some of you know i had rotater surgery on my shoulder in oct. my insurance would only cover a few weeks of therapy.i do many of the excercise's at home but my arm is stuck.it will only go up half way and if i don't get it unstuck my doc.
is going to put me in the hospital and as he said,put me out and crank on it.
i hate hospitals and would appreciate any help or suggestions to unstick it.

This was a question that I had from the time that I was little. You hear all these "amazing" experiences at assemblies or the hall , and the answer was always the same. No way!! What makes their life more important or more valuable than mine? I felt guilty for my reaction and never told anyone but it was always how I felt. Now that I'm out I look back and think, " Boy, I'd feel really stupid NOW if I had given my life for one of THOSE people."
